Description

Amikacin Sulphate Injection (Veterinary)

Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of advanced veterinary aminoglycosides. We provide high-quality Amikacin Sulphate Injection, sourced from WHO–GMP certified sterile facilities. This semi-synthetic “rescue” antibiotic is a top export to equine studs, veterinary hospitals, and livestock management firms in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, specifically reserved for treating severe infections resistant to Gentamicin and other common antibiotics.

Product Overview

This formulation contains Amikacin Sulphate, a semi-synthetic aminoglycoside derived from kanamycin.

The “Resistance Rescue” Specialist:

  • Enzyme Stability: Uniquely resistant to many bacterial enzymes that inactivate other aminoglycosides (like Gentamicin or Tobramycin).
  • Gram-Negative Potency: Highly effective against multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, and Klebsiella.
  • Equine Use: Widely used in horses for intrauterine treatment of metritis and septic arthritis.
  • Bactericidal: Kills bacteria rapidly by inhibiting protein synthesis at the 30S ribosomal level.

Manufacturing Authority

Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified veterinary units.

  • Color Stability: Amikacin can darken upon oxidation; our nitrogen-sparged filling process ensures the solution remains clear or pale yellow (which is normal).
  • Sterility: Aseptic processing ensures safety for intra-articular (joint) and intrauterine infusions.
  • Endotoxin Limits: Controlled strictly to prevent shock during intravenous administration.

Therapeutic Indications (Veterinary Use Only)

Indicated for the treatment of severe infections where other aminoglycosides have failed:

  • Equine Metritis: Intrauterine infusion for mares with bacterial infections causing infertility (Klebsiella/Pseudomonas).
  • Septic Arthritis: Joint infections in foals and calves.
  • Respiratory Tract: Severe pneumonia and pleuritis.
  • Septicemia: Life-threatening blood infections in neonates.
  • Soft Tissue: Severe wound infections and post-operative complications.
