Product Overview
Dexamethasone is a potent synthetic Glucocorticoid with strong anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties (approx. 25-30 times more potent than hydrocortisone). It lacks significant mineralocorticoid (salt-retaining) activity, making it safe for high-dose emergency use.

Dosage & Administration
General Guidelines (Strict Medical Supervision):
- Route: IV (Slow injection or infusion) or Deep IM.
- Standard Dosage: 0.5 mg to 9 mg daily depending on the severity of the disease.
- Cerebral Edema: Initial dose of 10 mg IV followed by 4 mg IM every 6 hours.
- Shock: High dose therapy (e.g., 20 mg IV) may be used for short duration.
Warnings:
- Immunosuppression: Long-term use increases susceptibility to infections.
- Withdrawal: Do not stop abruptly after long-term use (Adrenal Crisis risk).
