Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Rheumatologist):

- Osteoarthritis: 30 mg or 60 mg once daily.
- Rheumatoid Arthritis / Ankylosing Spondylitis: 60 mg or 90 mg once daily.
- Post-Op Dental Pain: 90 mg once daily, limited to a maximum of 3 days.
- Acute Gout: 120 mg once daily. Limit to a maximum of 8 days.
- Administration: Can be taken with or without food. Onset is faster if taken without food.
Safety Warnings:
- Cardiovascular Risk (CRITICAL): Like all Coxibs, Etoricoxib may increase the risk of thrombotic events (heart attack and stroke), especially at high doses or with long-term use. Contraindicated in patients with Ischemic Heart Disease, Peripheral Arterial Disease, or Cerebrovascular Disease.
- Hypertension: Can raise blood pressure more than other NSAIDs. BP must be controlled before starting treatment and monitored continuously.
- GI Safety: While safer than standard NSAIDs, ulceration can still occur in high-risk elderly patients.
- Renal: Contraindicated in severe renal failure (CrCl < 30 ml/min).
