- Cryptococcal Meningitis: Loading dose of 400 mg on Day 1, followed by 200 mg to 400 mg once daily.
- Renal Impairment: Fluconazole is excreted unchanged by kidneys. Dosage must be reduced by 50% in patients with severe renal failure.
Safety Warnings:
- Liver Toxicity: Rare cases of serious hepatic toxicity have been observed. Monitor liver enzymes in patients with pre-existing liver disease.
