Dosage & Administration
Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Cardiologist):
- Acute Attack (Sublingual 5mg): Place one tablet under the tongue at the first sign of chest pain. Do not swallow. Can repeat every 5-10 minutes (Max 3 doses). If pain persists, seek emergency help.
- Prophylaxis (Oral 10-20mg): 10 mg to 20 mg taken 2 to 3 times daily.
- Nitrate Tolerance (Critical): The body quickly gets used to nitrates, making them ineffective. To prevent this, a Nitrate-Free Interval of at least 10–12 hours (usually at night) is mandatory. Do not dose around the clock.
Safety Warnings:
- PDE5 Inhibitor Interaction (FATAL): STRICTLY CONTRAINDICATED with Sildenafil (Viagra), Tadalafil, or Vardenafil. Taking these together causes a catastrophic drop in blood pressure that can lead to death.
