This formulation contains Lignocaine Hydrochloride (Lidocaine), a rapid-acting amide-type local anesthetic and antiarrhythmic agent.

Therapeutic Indications (Human Use)

Indicated for Adults and Pediatrics:

• Infiltration Anesthesia: For minor surgical procedures, suturing, and dental work.
• Nerve Blocks: Brachial plexus, intercostal, and paravertebral blocks.
• Epidural/Spinal Anesthesia: For surgical procedures requiring intermediate duration (60-100 mins).
• Cardiac Arrhythmias: Acute management of ventricular arrhythmias occurring during cardiac manipulation or acute myocardial infarction.

Dosage & Administration

Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Physician/Anesthetist):

• Local Infiltration: Maximum single dose of 4.5 mg/kg (not to exceed 300 mg).
• Epidural: 200 mg to 400 mg (10 mL to 20 mL of 2% solution).
• Cardiac Arrest (VF/VT):
  • Initial Bolus: 1 mg to 1.5 mg per kg body weight IV.
  • Repeat: 0.5 to 0.75 mg/kg every 5-10 minutes if needed (Max 3 mg/kg).
  • Maintenance Infusion: 1 mg to 4 mg per minute.

Safety Warnings:

• IV Administration: Must be given slowly (unless in cardiac arrest) with constant ECG monitoring. Rapid injection can cause seizures or respiratory arrest.
• Contraindications: Do not use in patients with Stokes-Adams syndrome, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, or severe degrees of SA/AV block (without pacemaker).
• Adrenaline Check: Always verify if the vial contains Adrenaline (Epinephrine) or is Plain. Never give Lignocaine with Adrenaline Intravenously.
