Product Overview
Ofloxacin is a synthetic 2nd Generation Fluoroquinolone with potent bactericidal activity. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, preventing replication.
It is the “Antibiotic of Choice” in Veterinary Medicine for:
- Severe Diarrhea: Treatment of enteric infections caused by E. coli, Salmonella, and Shigella (Calf Scours).
- Respiratory Infections: Pneumonia and Bronchopneumonia caused by Pasteurella and Mycoplasma.
- Mastitis: Systemic treatment of acute clinical mastitis in dairy cattle.
- Metritis: Post-partum uterine infections.

Therapeutic Indications & Usage
Cattle, Sheep & Goats:
- Respiratory Tract Infections (Shipping Fever, Pneumonia).

Dosage & Administration
General Guidelines (As per Vet Prescription):
- Large Animals: 2.5 mg to 5 mg per kg body weight daily. (Approx. 1 ml per 20-40 kg body weight).
- Route: Deep Intramuscular (IM) or slow Intravenous (IV).
- Duration: 3 to 5 days depending on severity of infection.
Withdrawal Period:
- Meat: 28 days.
- Milk: 7 days. (Check local regulations).
