- Cattle: 1.5 mg to 2 mg per kg body weight.
- Horses: 6.6 mg per kg body weight (IV Only). (Note: Requires large volume; Oral route often preferred for maintenance).
- Frequency: Usually twice daily (Every 12 hours) or three times daily (Every 8 hours) for continuous acid suppression.
- Withdrawal Period:
- Meat: 0-1 Day.
- Milk: 5-24 Hours (varies by regulation).
Safety Warnings:
- IV Administration: Must be given slowly over 5 minutes. Rapid IV injection can cause cardiac arrhythmias or hypotension.
